Could you help shape the future of sexual health and wellbeing across the South West?

Could you help shape the future of sexual health and wellbeing across the South West?

The Eddystone Trust is recruiting new Trustees to join our Board and help shape the future of our charity.

For more than 40 years, The Eddystone Trust has worked across the South West to improve sexual health, support people living with HIV, reduce stigma and make sure people can access the information, support and services they need.

Now, as we enter an exciting period of development and look at new ways to strengthen our impact, we're looking for passionate, committed people to join our Board of Trustees.

Why become a Trustee?

Being a Trustee is an opportunity to do more than support a charity - it's an opportunity to help shape its future.

Our Trustees provide strategic leadership, help ensure good governance and play an important role in guiding the organisation towards its ambitions.

At The Eddystone Trust, that means helping us work towards a future where sexual health is something everyone can access, understand and prioritise.

We're looking for people who can bring fresh perspectives, strategic insight and a commitment to our values.

What skills are we looking for?

We're particularly interested in hearing from people with experience or expertise in areas including:

  • Strategy, leadership and organisational development
  • Finance, governance and risk
  • Fundraising and income generation
  • Digital transformation and data
  • Equality, diversity and inclusion
  • Community engagement, health inequalities and partnership working
  • Impact, evaluation and demonstrating outcomes

You don't need previous experience of being a Trustee.

What matters to us is that you're curious, collaborative and committed to making a difference.

We want our Board to reflect the communities we support

We particularly welcome applications from people with lived experience of the communities we support, as well as people who are currently underrepresented in charity leadership and governance.

We believe that bringing different experiences, perspectives and expertise to our Board will help us make better decisions and better serve the communities we work with.

Could you be our next Trustee?

If you've ever thought about becoming a Trustee but weren't sure whether you had the right experience, we'd encourage you to find out more.

You don't have to be a charity governance expert. You might have skills from your professional life, experience within your community, or a perspective that could help us think differently about the future of sexual health and wellbeing.

This is an opportunity to use your skills, experience and ideas to help shape an organisation and make a genuine difference across the South West.
