Help us celebrate 40 years. Help shape what comes next.
For 40 years, The Eddystone Trust has been there for people and communities across the South West. In 2027, we're celebrating that history - but we don't want to do it alone.
We're looking for people who care about what we do to become Eddystone Trust Lightkeepers and help us make our 40th year something really special.
You might want to take on a fundraising challenge. You might want to organise an event. You might have an idea for something we should do. You might simply want to lend a hand at one of our events.
There isn't one way to be a Lightkeeper. If you want to get involved, there's a place for you.
What is a Lightkeeper?
A Lightkeeper is someone who wants to play a part in our 40th anniversary.
We're building a community of supporters, volunteers, fundraisers, event organisers, idea-makers and Eddystone Trust champions who can help us celebrate where we've come from and shape where we're going next.
You don't need to know exactly what you want to do yet.
Tell us you're interested and we'll work with you to find a way to get involved that suits you.
How do you become a Lightkeeper?
Take on a fundraising challenge
Run, walk, cycle, swim, trek or come up with your own challenge and raise money for The Eddystone Trust.
It doesn't have to be a marathon. It could be anything that gets you moving, gets people talking and helps raise funds for our work.
Have an idea already? We'd love to hear it.
Host a fundraising event
Fancy putting on a quiz, gig, coffee morning, tournament, bake sale, party or something completely different?
We'll help you turn your idea into an opportunity to support The Eddystone Trust.
You bring the idea. We'll help you make it happen.
Volunteer at our 40th events
We're going to have things happening throughout our 40th year, and we'll need people to help make them happen.
You could help with events, welcome people, set things up, take photographs, share our story, collect donations or simply muck in wherever you're needed.
Give us a bit of your time and be part of the celebrations.
Help us shine a light on sexual wellbeing
You don't necessarily need to fundraise or volunteer.
You could help by sharing our campaigns, telling people about The Eddystone Trust, connecting us with people or organisations who might want to get involved, or simply helping us celebrate our 40th.
Sometimes the most valuable thing you can give is your voice.
A little bit of our story
From our beginnings in the HIV response to the work we do today, our organisation has continually evolved alongside the communities we serve.
Our 40th isn't just a chance to look back.
It's a chance to celebrate the people who have been part of our story — and to bring new people into it that journey.
And that's where our Lightkeepers come in.
