Why We Show Up for Pride – And Where You’ll Find Us This Season

Pride Month is nearly here—and at The Eddystone Trust, we’re excited to be hitting the road again, celebrating equality, visibility, and love in all its forms.

But why do we attend Pride events? The answer is simple: because Pride matters.

Pride began as a protest, and while we’ve come a long way, the fight for equality, dignity, and representation for LGBTQ+ people—especially trans and non-binary communities—is far from over. At a time when LGBTQ+ rights are being questioned and attacked in some spaces, showing up visibly and vocally in support of our communities is more important than ever.

We attend Prides to celebrate. To protest. To connect. And to offer support.

At every Pride we attend, we’re there to offer free sexual health information, resources, and advice. Whether it’s HIV testing, information about PrEP, LGBTQ+ support, or trans support and inclusive care, we’re there to meet people where they are—with no judgement, just help.

Pride is a moment to stand together and remind each other: you are seen, you are valued, and you are not alone.
