Get Ready for World AIDS Day 2024: How You Can Get Involved
As World AIDS Day approaches on December 1st, we’re excited to announce a range of initiatives to help raise awareness and show support for people living with HIV. This year, we’re focusing on making it easier than ever for individuals, organisations, and communities to get involved. Here’s what we’ve got planned and how you can join us!
1. New World AIDS Day Webpage – Order Your Red Ribbons and Digital Media Packs
We’ve just launched our brand-new World AIDS Day webpage, where you can order everything you need to show your support. Whether you want to wear a red ribbon in solidarity with people living with HIV or spread awareness digitally, we’ve got you covered.
- Physical packs: Includes red ribbons and other awareness materials.
-
Digital media packs: Perfect for sharing online to raise awareness within your networks.
Visit our page [link here] to place your order today!
2. Lunch & Learn: Bite-Sized HIV Training
This year, we’re offering bite-sized HIV training sessions through our
Lunch & Learn program. These sessions can be conducted at your workplace either physically or virtually. Our aim is to help you and your team better understand the current landscape of HIV in a fun and engaging format, right over lunchtime!
If you're interested in scheduling a session, get in touch to book your slot by emailing training@eddystone.org.uk
4. Red Ribbons Everywhere – Help Us Spread the Word!
We’re calling on all our supporters to think about where we can distribute red ribbons and World AIDS Day information. Whether it’s at local community centres, schools, gyms, or businesses, you can play a part in making sure these resources reach the people who need them.
To make things easier for everyone, we’re now offering red ribbons via our World AIDS Day engagement packs and you can order yours today for free via our website by clicking this link
How You Can Help:
- Visit our World AIDS Day webpage to order red ribbons, physical packs, or download your digital media pack.
- Organize a Lunch & Learn session for your workplace.
- Help distribute ribbons and information – make sure to spread the word about our webpage for ordering.
World AIDS Day is about raising awareness, standing in solidarity with people living with HIV, and breaking down the stigma that still surrounds the virus. Together, we can make a real difference. Let’s rise above stigma and work toward a more informed and compassionate future.
We can’t wait to have you join us!
