What is Chemsex?
Chemsex is a term referring to the sex had between men that have sex with other men, whilst under the influence of three particular drugs: Crystal meth, Ghb and Mephedrone. These drugs are taken before and during sex sessions and are widely known to facilitate pleasure and euphoria, but they are also associated with a range of different harms including dependancy & reliance, poor sexual & mental health, risk of sexual exploitation and lack of consent.
Chemsex users will not often recognise the problems associated with it until it is impacting on their life and they are struggling to make changes.
