Community Testing for HIV Testing Week
Know Your Status: HIV Testing Week 2025
HIV Testing Week is here, and it’s the perfect time to take control of your health, claim your status, and help end HIV transmission. Testing is quick, free, confidential, and, is available online or on a walk-in basis. Whether it’s your first test or a regular check-up, getting tested is an empowering step towards protecting yourself and your community.
Why Get Tested?
HIV testing is a crucial part of looking after your health. Many people with HIV don’t have symptoms for years, so the only way to know for sure is to take a test. With early diagnosis and effective treatment, people living with HIV can lead long, healthy lives and can’t pass the virus on to their partners (U=U – Undetectable = Untransmittable). Knowing your status also means you can access the right support and services tailored to your needs.
Where to Get Tested
Across the South West, we’re offering a range of open testing sessions. No appointment is necessary—just drop in at a location near you:

Claiming Your Status
The more people who know their status, the closer we get to stopping new transmissions. Whether you’re testing for peace of mind, as part of routine sexual health care, or because it’s been a while since your last test, your action helps break down stigma and encourages others to do the same.
This HIV Testing Week, make it a priority to check your status and encourage your friends and loved ones to do the same. Let’s normalise testing and work towards a future where HIV transmissions are a thing of the past.
